Studio im Bezirk Lend Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Studio im Bezirk Lend on Zeillergasse, you might wonder if you’ve got the right address — it’s tucked into a residential street that feels more like where locals live than where tourists stay. That’s actually the charm of this three-star studio apartment. The building has that authentic Austrian character, and finding “1 Türe links” (first door on the left) becomes a little adventure in itself. Once you’re inside though, you realize you’ve stumbled onto something special in Graz‘s trendy Lend district.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, the location is what makes this place shine — and those 9.3 ratings from couples aren’t just numbers on a screen. Lend has transformed from a working-class neighborhood into one of Graz’s coolest areas, and you’re right in the thick of it. The Mur River is literally a few minutes’ walk away, perfect for morning jogs or evening strolls along the water. You’ve got the Kunsthaus (that weird blue blob of modern architecture) within easy reach, plus all these little cafés and bars that locals actually frequent. The tram connections are solid too, so getting to Graz’s old town takes maybe ten minutes.
The Studio Space
The room itself is compact but thoughtfully designed — think European efficiency rather than American sprawl. There’s a proper kitchenette where you can actually cook a decent meal, which is a godsend when you want to grab fresh ingredients from the nearby markets. The sleeping area feels cozy without being cramped, and there’s enough storage space for a week’s worth of clothes. What I appreciated most was how quiet it stays despite being in the city — those old Austrian buildings have thick walls. The Wi-Fi works reliably, and the heating keeps things comfortable even during Graz’s chilly months.
Practical Perks
You know what’s refreshing? This place doesn’t try to be something it’s not. There’s no fancy lobby or concierge service, but everything you actually need is sorted out efficiently. The check-in process is straightforward, and the hosts are responsive when you need them. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area — it’s mostly street parking with time limits during the day, but evenings and weekends are usually fine. The nearest grocery store (Spar) is about a three-minute walk, and there’s a decent bakery around the corner for morning pastries.
Why Guests Love It
This studio works because it gives you a genuine slice of Graz life rather than a sanitized tourist experience. You’re staying where young professionals and artists live, eating at the same spots, using the same tram lines. The 8.8 rating reflects what most people discover — that sometimes the best travel experiences come from places that feel real rather than polished. It’s particularly great for couples who want to explore Graz at their own pace, cook together occasionally, and have a proper base rather than just a place to sleep. If you’re looking for room service and daily housekeeping, look elsewhere, but if you want authentic Graz living with all the essentials covered, this little studio delivers.
To book a hotel in Graz during Styriarte festivals, visitors plan ahead to balance concert evenings with Schlossberg sunsets.

The apartment is super cozy and well-equipped and comfortable. The layout is very functional, and our son liked sleeping in the loft space. The kitchen is fully stocked and spacious. Also, the terrace was lovely – enjoyed relaxing there. The location is also very convenient.
And, the doggie liked it too.Danica from Serbia (9/10)

Kovač from Croatia (9/10)
The studio was lovely with plenty of room. Everything was very clean, from the bathroom to the kitchen, to the beds. We very much enjoyed the selection of books and the unique furniture pieces and plants made it feel like coming home at the end of each day.
There is a bakery around the corner and the Lendplatz market is a short walk away. We could walk to all of the sites in the center very easily.
While there is no parking on site, we found it very easy to find street parking a few blocks away that was very inexpensive on weekdays and free on weekends.Zhu from United Kingdom (9/10)
The location is good. The flat is spacious and quirky with a very nice character. Very good value for money.
