You’re about a 15-minute walk to the old town, but honestly, I found myself enjoying the stroll through residential streets lined with traditional buildings. There’s a decent bakery just around the corner — the kind where the owner remembers your order after two visits. The tram connections are really straightforward too, so getting to Hauptplatz or the Schlossberg takes no time at all.

What Makes It Work

The terrace becomes your little sanctuary, especially in the evenings when you can sit out there with a glass of wine and decompress from sightseeing. Having your own room setup means you’re not cramped into a typical hotel box — there’s space to spread out your stuff and actually live a bit. The free parking situation can’t be overstated; I watched other travelers circle blocks looking for spots while I just walked two minutes from my car to the front door.

  Nice location and nice apartment. We stayed for only one night in transit, and the self-check-in and garage were very convenient for us. The city center is approximately a 30-minute walk away. Communication with the host was very good and smooth.

  When I arrived at the hotel, the property had provided all the information in English beforehand. However, finding the key felt like solving a puzzle. It was a bit challenging to locate the key. There is a key box where you need to enter a code, which felt like a game.
  
  There is no parking space in front of the property to park your car temporarily. The area is blocked off with barriers. I think they could open it temporarily or designate it as a visitor parking spot, like a "Beso Parking Plot." It would have been nice to have an empty area before entering the main parking lot. Currently, there is only a very small area at the entrance of the parking lot where you can leave your car.
  
  Another strange thing is that they ask you to remove your car first and then return the parking key back to the key box. It’s very peculiar and unusual. Personally, I would have preferred a different system. For example, in other places I’ve stayed before, I locked everything, moved my car out, and finally returned the keys to the key box before leaving. That’s what I thought would happen here, but instead, they ask you to leave the key inside the house. It’s very interesting and a different management style.
  
  This is my first time in Austria. The house itself was really beautiful, very comfortable, and everything was clean and in great condition. The staff or owner of the property was very attentive and helpful, which I truly appreciated.
  
  However, there was one more thing that was quite unusual. They ask for a copy of your ID card for check-in. I believe this might be a rule or law in Graz, but I don’t know why it is required. This was the first time I’ve encountered such a practice. I suppose it could be used in fraud cases. I ended up sending a copy of my passport, and I would recommend others do the same.

  Lovely roomy, quiet apartment with parking. About a 35 min walk from the Art Gallery / old town. Clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed (a toaster the only exception). The parking garage was fantastic and communication with the host was easy. Very happy to recommend.
